Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant I to support a 27-bed adult general medicine inpatient unit in Boston. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help with routine tasks under licensed staff supervision. Positions include day and night rotations with weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Ability to document vitals and patient information accurately.

• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs and vital signs (temperature, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Support RNs and physicians with exams and treatments as needed.
• Document patient data and care details in EHR.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and room readiness.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms and equipment.

Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.Does this position require Patient Care?YesEssential Functions-Performs patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, performing and documenting point of care, vital signs, EKGs, bathing and other sanitary needs of patients, transferring and assisting with ambulation of patients, 1:1 patient observation for safety purposes, and phlebotomy.
