Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant II to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help coordinate unit operations to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The role requires CPR training and strong English communication. Onsite duties include assisting with admissions, transporting supplies and patients, and maintaining a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• CPR training required.
• Phlebotomy training and experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak and understand written and oral English communication.
• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant, or is a Nursing student currently enrolled in a formal program who has completed at least one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates CAREfirst standards of behavior.
• Prepares patient rooms for admission.
• Orients patient and family to unit/room.
• Keeps patient and family informed of routines and activities.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, ambulation, nourishment).
• Takes vital signs and performs basic measurements; reports changes to RN.
• Documents patient data in the medical record.
