Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support ICU nursing staff with bedside care and patient comfort in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have CNA or PCT certification or are willing to obtain it; High School Diploma or GED preferred; 1 year PCA experience or 6 months with certification, plus BLS within 30 days.

Schedule: 36hrs/wk, Nights, 7p-7a at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL. Pay range $18.00 - $25.20 per hour; benefits available.

  • 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide bedside nursing support and assistance to ICU staff.
  • Support patient's comfort and safety during 7p-7a shifts.
  • Assist with basic patient care activities as directed by nursing staff.

Pay Range:

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team, serving as a support resource to our dedicated nursing staff committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers, looking for an opportunity to deliver bedside care and support to patients in a hospital-based environment.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification as indicated below.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience as noted above. Certification is not required for those with greater than one year experience.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.
