Job summary

St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to help patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding. The role also supports nurses with vitals and room preparation.

Responsibilities include direct patient care delegated by RN staff, monitoring vitals, recording intake/output, and performing glucose testing as needed. Excellent attention to detail and trainability are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required at hire.
• CPR / Basic Life Support within 14 days of hire.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Assistant, you'll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.

Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients' conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.

Job Requirements

Pay Range

$17.71 - $25.02 /hour
