Job summary

St. Luke’s Health - The Woodlands Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to help patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with daily life activities.

You will support tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and you will aid nursing staff with vital sign monitoring, room preparation, and daily weight measurements. CPR/BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days of hire.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Assistant, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.

Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You’re diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.

Pay Range

$17.71 - $25.02 /hour
