Position Overview:

Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our nursing support team on the Observation unit.

Employment Details:

Type: Full Time

FTE: 0.9, 36 hours/week, 7am -- 7:30pm with every other weekend off

Responsibilities:

The PCA is responsible for direct patient care tasks assigned and supervised by professional nursing staff. Also provides indirect care such as maintaining unit functions, caring for and cleaning equipment, transporting patients, and stocking supplies.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Nurse Assistant preferred or current nursing student
  • At least 1 year of prior acute care experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Current AHA BLS certification
