Job summary

The role provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting daily living activities, vital signs, and basic clinical needs.

The incumbent will participate in the plan of care, uphold confidentiality, and contribute to compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Implements components of the plan of care based on physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose checks.
• Observes and reports the functioning of equipment, treatment results, dressings, and changes in patient condition.
• Incorporates the Hospital Customer Service Program concepts into patient care (confidentiality, responsiveness, caring).
• Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities.
• If not certified at hire, completes onsite nursing certification program within 90 days of hire.
