Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant 6A Med Surg for evening shifts (3pm–11:30pm) in Philadelphia. This part-time role supports nursing staff and delivers compassionate patient care in a busy medical-surgical unit.

Under RN supervision you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help with ECGs and glucose checks. Required: high school diploma; BLS; CNA/MA preferred; 1 year patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or completion of at least one clinical rotation preferred.
• 1 year experience in a patient care role preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required; CNA/MA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform vital signs, ECGs, and capillary blood glucose checks.
• Assist with activities of daily living and nourishment/elimination needs.
• Ensure confidentiality and customer service standards per Hospital program.
