Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role is Full Time with Nights shifts in Bristol, PA.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications and BLS. Prior acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred at hire.
• EKG certification preferred at hire.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Minimum six months experience in acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintaining a safe environment under the supervision of the RN in charge.

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.2. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.3. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.4. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current 5. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.6. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
