Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to join our night shift team. You will help patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing support under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit.

This role requires a high school diploma, preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications, current BLS, and knowledge of medical terminology; six months acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; must be current.
• EKG certification preferred; must be current.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Six months’ experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment on the unit.
• Support the care team in accordance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• 3. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• 4. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• 5. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 6. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
