Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pennsylvania is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with activities of daily living and assist in maintaining a safe care environment under RN supervision.

Experience in acute care or physician office settings is preferred. CNA certification and BLS are required or pursued within 30 days after hire, with EKG/phlebotomy certifications desirable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
