Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities, perform basic nursing tasks, and help maintain a safe unit.

The position requires a high school diploma and preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications, plus BLS. Prior acute care experience is a plus. Nights shift; growth opportunities and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred phlebotomy certification at hire.
• Preferred EKG certification at hire.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum six months of acute care hospital or physician's office experience.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Education

• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
