The Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support the unit with patient care duties such as cleaning and bathing patients, repositioning and transporting patients, stocking shelves, and assisting with dietary tasks. All care is provided under the supervision of an RN.

The role includes performing EKGs and Glucometer POC testing and maintaining competency in these skills. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or GED, CNA training preferred, and current BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA training preferred.
• Preferred prior receptionist/hospital unit secretarial experience.
• CNA certification preferred; current BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• MOAB, CPI or equivalent conflict resolution/de-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient care tasks such as cleaning, bathing, positioning, and transporting patients.
• Stock shelves and clean equipment; assist with dietary tasks.
• Perform EKGs and glucometer POC tests; maintain competency.
• All tasks performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
