University of Utah Health is seeking a patient-care assistant who works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will interact with patients and families and support direct and indirect care across units.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, and maintaining a safe environment. Eligible candidates must meet CNA/Nursing program requirements and obtain required eCredentials within 30 days of hire.

Qualifikationen

• RN license within three months to obtain; CNA certification required if RN not obtained.
• If RN license held, CNA certification required after three months in role.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification or enrollment in approved nursing education program.

Aufgaben

• Assist patients with feeding, drinking, ambulating, grooming, toileting, dressing, socializing and unit specific skills.
• Reinforce or assist in educating patients and families as delegated by the care team.
• Collect, report and document data related to direct patient care activities.
• Provide indirect patient care and maintain a safe, clean environment; assist with transports and clerical duties as needed.
• May schedule patient appointments and maintain records; support admits/discharges per unit policy.
• Observe cardiac monitor and report abnormal rhythms to staff.
• Work rotating schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet 24/7 staffing.
