Qualifications

• Enrolled in nursing program with a three‑month window to obtain RN license.
• If RN licensed, CNA certification required after three months if remaining in the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with feeding, ambulating, grooming, toileting, dressing and daily activities.
• Educate patients and families as delegated by the care team.
• Collect, report and document data related to direct patient care.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and assist with transport and clerical duties as needed.
• Support unit operations with stock checks and supply management.
• Communicate with hospital staff, physicians, patients and visitors.
• Process paper orders during downtime and log downtime occurrences in patient records.
• May schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records.
• Assist with admits, discharges and transfers per unit standards.
• Monitor cardiac rhythm and alert staff to abnormalities.
• Work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
