White 9 is seeking a PCA, with Day and Night availability, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Candidates seeking a permanent full-time role as PCA will be only considered for this opportunity at this time.
White 9 is a twenty-five-bed acute care medical unit. A majority of patients are admitted directly from the Emergency Department and have single or multi-system problems including, but not limited to, alterations in gas exchange, airway clearance, cardiac function, renal function, nutrition, hepatic function, skin integrity, and mental states. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary healthcare team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
