The Brigham and Women's Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks staff to assist patients with daily living activities and to monitor vital signs under licensed personnel. Responsibilities include documentation, and communicating health concerns to nurses.

Onsite position at 75 Francis Street with per diem employment and rotating shifts. Certifications in BLS, CMA, or CNA preferred, with 0–1 year patient care experience beneficial.

Formación

• BLS, CMA, and Nursing Assistant certifications preferred.
• Experience in patient care 0–1 year preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Take vital signs, weights, and intake/output with accuracy.
• Complete medical record documentation.
• Interact effectively with patients and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Assist with moving and repositioning patients in bed or chair; help with transfers.

Job Summary

Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Essential Functions

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks. This may include bathing and dressing patients, helping them use the toilet if needed, and feeding them.
• Assist with helping patients turn and reposition themselves in bed as needed and help them move between the bed and a wheelchair if they use one.
• Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and Credentials

• Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only preferred
• Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only preferred
• Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred

Experience

• Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred
