Job summary

MemorialCare Health System seeks a Patient Care Assistant in the Adult Oncology unit at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. This full-time night-shift position supports patients with activities of daily living under supervision, helping maintain a safe and clean care environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistants with 3 years of experience in an acute care facility or 5 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility or sub-acute setting. Nursing students enrolled in a nursing program who have completed the first semester.
• A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required
• Basic computer knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of licensed personnel, perform activities of daily living for patients and assist with unit activities that support patient care.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and contribute to health and safety of patients.
• Assist with patient care in the Adult Oncology unit and support nursing staff as needed.

Shift: Nights (12hr)

Pay Range*: $23.73/hr - $26.97/hr

$1,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary:
