Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for the Adult Respiratory Unit. This full-time role operates on nights (12-hour shifts).

Pay range is $23.73/hr-$26.97/hr with a $1,500 signing bonus for external hires meeting requirements. Under supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living and support unit operations to ensure a safe, clean environment and quality patient care in the respiratory unit.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• CNA with 3 years in an acute care facility or 5 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility or sub-acute setting; nursing students in program with first semester completed.
• A current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and general patient care in the Adult Respiratory Unit.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and support unit activities to facilitate patient care.

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Assistant is responsible for performing activities of daily living for patients and generally assist with the unit activities that support patient care in the (insert department name) at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. The Patient Care Assistant facilitates a safe, clean working environment and contributes to the health and safety of patients.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications
