Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join the Adult Oncology unit on the nights shift. Under supervision, you will assist patients with daily living activities, support unit operations, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

A CNA certification and CPR/AED are required, with a sign-on bonus of $1,500 for external hires meeting requirements. Placement in the pay range is based on experience; the role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• CNA certification with 3+ years in acute care or 5+ years in SNF/sub-acute settings.
• Current BLS/CPR & AED certification required.

Pay Range*: $23.73/hr - $26.97/hr

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Assistant is responsible for performing activities of daily living for patients and generally assist with the unit activities that support patient care in the (insert department name)at MemorialCare Long BeachMedical Center. The Patient Care Assistant facilitates a safe, clean working environment and contributes to the health and safety of patients.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistants with 3 years of experience in an acute care facility or 5 years or experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or sub-acute setting. Nursing students actively enrolled in a nursing program who have completed the first semester of the nursing program.
• A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required
• Basic computer knowledge preferred
