Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for a full-time, night shift role. The position supports the RN in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and assists with activities of daily living.

The schedule includes rotating shifts and weekend coverage; requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and CNA certification or related experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 403(b), tuition reimbursement and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or 6 months of direct Patient Care Assistant experience, or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.

12 Hour Night Shift

Description:

72hrs per pp 7p-7:30a

Set rotating schedule to include set weekend rotation up to every other weekend. Schedule will be given after successfully completing the orientation period. Management does have discretion to change schedule 30 days prior to the start of the 6-week scheduling periods if needed. Holidays scheduled in accordance with CBA

Patient Care Assistant, PCA works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a RN. A Patient Care Assistant, PCA is expected to assist the patient in maintaining good hygiene, activities of daily living and to support quality of patient care.

What Patient Care Assistant, PCA will do:
