Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for a full-time night shift. The role supports patient hygiene, mobility and daily living activities under RN supervision, delivering compassionate, person-centered care.

You will respond to calls, assist with hygiene, transport patients, and ensure a clean patient environment while upholding the mission and values of Trinity Health.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or 6 months of direct PCA experience, or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to communicate with diverse groups and reflect organizational values.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights or round to assist.
• Provide or assist with personal hygiene, showers, oral care and dressing.
• Transport patients for procedures, transfers or discharge.

What Patient Care Assistant, PCA will do

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing.
• Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge.
• Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms.

Minimum Qualifications

• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing divers perspectives.
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.
