Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in California seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join a dedicated care team and support licensed nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist with admissions, daily patient care, and safety, while helping coordinate activities to meet each patient’s needs and the unit’s operations.

The role requires a current AHA BLS Healthcare Professional certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of geriatric or acute care hospital

Qualifications

• AHA BLS Healthcare Professional certification is required.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 1 year recent geriatric setting or acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the interprofessional team in the delivery of quality patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Delivers care with consideration to age-specific needs / care; contributes to overall unit functions.
• Admissions, Discharge and Transfer responsibilities: sets up rooms, orients patients and families, inventories belongings, and prepares rooms for next admission.
• Provides patient care within scope, documents daily care, and follows unit standards.
• Follows safety procedures, uses body mechanics, and reports hazards or injuries as required.
