Job Summary & Requirements

To assist with patient care and support the efficient operation of the unit under the supervision of healthcare professionals.

Education:

• Recognized program for personal support worker
• Current Basic Rescuer Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life Support or willingness to obtain within 3 months
• Membership in Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) or Personal Support Network of Ontario (PSNO) is an asset

Experience:

• Previous patient care or community health experience preferred
• Ability to discern relevant information for effective care management
• Strong customer service skills
• Initiative and commitment to lifelong learning
• Excellent communication skills with team, patients, and families
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks
• Team-oriented approach
