Position Summary

We seek a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to provide clinical support independently and with minimal supervision, performing diverse duties under the general and direct supervision of the site manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create a positive and professional first impression and demonstrate a 'we care' attitude.
  • Prepare exam rooms daily, including stocking supplies.
  • Escort patients, take vital signs, obtain urine specimens, perform dip and automated reviews, and record data.
  • Triaging patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, and medical questions, documenting outcomes in the EHR.
  • Review and reconcile patients’ medication lists to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain logs and records for OSHA/MOSHA and follow sterilization and biomedical waste policies.
  • Prepare clinical charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring all necessary testing or records are available.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6-12 months healthcare experience preferred.
  • Currently enrolled or preparing for Medical School or Physician Assistant school.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Proficient in medical terminology, Microsoft Office, and typing at least 40 WPM.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and asking probing questions.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and demonstrate a caring, compassionate attitude.
Additional Details
  • Must be willing to travel within the geographic region as needed.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform related activities throughout the day.
