Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a patient access partner to greet patients and collect payments while ensuring HIPAA compliance. You will assist with iPad check-in, identify language service needs, and manage film/CD distribution for patients with attention to privacy and accuracy.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clinicians, processing mail, and preparing next day schedules, while maintaining confidentiality and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology and insurance requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain consent forms.
• Assist patients with IPad check-in and troubleshoot as needed.
• Identify when language services are required and coordinate accordingly.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Prepare setup for next day’s appointment schedule and flag potential issues.
