Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a patient care assistant to support licensed staff in daily living activities and clinical tasks. You will monitor vital signs, assist with mobility, and help with documentation in the electronic health record, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role involves direct patient care, 1:1 observation as needed, and collaboration with nurses and physicians. Onsite at 311 Service Road with a 32-hour weekly schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including vitals, EKGs, bathing and sanitary needs.
• Document height, weight, intake/output, and glucose results in the EHR.
• Assist with admitting and discharging patients and with food tray setup.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked and equipment is cleaned and reported for repair.
• Communicate with nursing staff and support a positive team environment.
