Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring for a Patient Care Assistant to support daily living activities and basic patient care. The role involves taking vital signs, documenting data in the EHR, assisting with admissions and discharges, and supporting the care team in a fast-paced environment.

The position is onsite at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands Corporation, with a 32-hour weekly schedule and responsibility for assisting with meals, mobility, and patient comfort under licensed

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Take and document vital signs and other health information in the EHR.
• Assist with admissions and discharges and patient transport.
• Support 1:1 patient safety and observation duties as assigned.
• Assist RNs and physicians with exams and treatments as required.
