Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support daily living activities and patient safety under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will perform personal care, maintain clean patient areas, document care delivered, and communicate effectively with the care team to support patient-centered outcomes.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a Nursing Assistant credential or technical degree.

Qualifications

Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to read, write and understand verbal or written instructions.
Ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with patients and families.
Demonstrates compassion and patience with a deep level of concern for patients.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Knowledge of computer data entry/retrieval (MS Office).
Ability to set priorities and organize multiple tasks while maintaining workflow.
Respect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

Assist and/or provide patients with personal care and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
Maintain a safe, clean environment in patient care areas and keep rooms and supply areas orderly.
Document and report care provided to patients.
Communicate clearly with patients and nursing staff to promote collaboration and patient-centered care.
Perform clerical and patient care duties specific to the unit.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
