Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant at Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland. The role supports daily living activities, patient safety, and basic clinical tasks under RN guidance. Schedule is days, 7:00am-3:30pm, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospital setting.

Requires a High School Diploma; STNA preferred and BLS within the first hire period. Responsibilities include patient transport, documentation, and maintaining a safe, clean unit

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• STNA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide variety of patient care tasks and collaborate with health care team to promote patient care.
• Organize patient care assignments to ensure timely delivery and completion of care.
• Document the care provided in the patient record.
• Label specimens and monitor pain using pain scale; report to RN/LPN as needed.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the unit and prepare rooms for admissions.
• Clean and maintain patient/unit equipment and report problems to the RN.
• Make hourly patient rounds to ensure safety measures are in place.
