Job summary

Westchester Medical Center is seeking an Intermediate Nursing Aide to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. You will assist in patient preparation for treatment, and support routine care activities in a busy hospital unit.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with meals and hygiene, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Certification as Nurse Aide or related course completion is required, with potential for leadership

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide by NYSDOH.
• Completion of an approved Nurse Aide or related patient care course.
• Completion of Medical-Surgical Nursing I and II or RN/LPN program.
• One year of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with patient preparation for treatments and procedures.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, and mobility.
• Transports patients to tests and procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environment.
