Job summary

AltaMed in Los Angeles is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC). You will serve as a liaison between prospects, patients and the organization to address non-medical needs and improve overall experience.

You will help with enrollment, access to care, and general assistance, advocate for patients and families, and work to resolve concerns about quality of care and staff interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• B.S./B.A. in healthcare or related field preferred.
• 3+ years outreach/marketing/sales experience in healthcare preferred.
• 3+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• CAC certification preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Bilingual Spanish/English or other language combinations strongly preferred.
• Experience with underserved populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between prospects, patients, AltaMed and the community.
• Advocate for non-medical issues for the family and help with enrollment and access to care.
• Assist patients and family members with concerns related to their overall experience.
