Job summary

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited nursing assistant program, and current BLS certification; at least one year of nursing assistant experience or clinical exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED; graduate of an accredited nursing assistant program.
• Minimum one year as a nursing assistant or student nurse who has completed one semester of clinical experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care; ensure the patient is prepared for visits and complete follow-ups as needed.
• Be knowledgeable in the operation and condition of all medical devices and equipment used.
• Be knowledgeable regarding clinical systems, protocols, policies and procedures for patient care duties.
• Obtain and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
• Maintain clean exam/procedure rooms and equipment; stock supplies and report malfunctions as needed.
• Remain flexible with changing department and organizational needs.
