Job summary

Select Medical in Camp Hill, PA is seeking a Patient Billing Representative. The role begins at $17.50/hr and involves daily billing, claims processing, and coordination with insurance carriers.

You will verify admission data, ensure timely submissions, and support billing operations within a fast-paced team environment. The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year in customer service, preferably with healthcare billing experience.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and research tools.
• Experience in healthcare or supporting patients from billing or administrative background.

Responsibilities

• Reviews admission documents and verifies HMS against admission forms.
• Processes daily billing to ensure claims are billed within 24 hours of placement into the clearinghouse.
• For Commercial accounts, compares HMS to Insurance Contract Requirement for accuracy using contract tools.
• For Medicare accounts, bills MSP accounts and follows up until finalized.
• Resolves late charges per policy and ensures insurer receipt within 10 days of billed date.
• Follows up weekly on billed accounts for 35 days post-bill date or until payment is issued.
• Documents HMS activity in patient accounts accurately and communicates issues to staff.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by CBO management.
