Job summary

Amoskeag Health is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Accounts Representative to support the revenue cycle for our Manchester Community Health Center. You are analytical, organized, and capable of handling provider and patient inquiries, resolving insurance denials, and ensuring accurate billing.

You will review daily claims, correct denials per payer rules, and coordinate with Medical Records and other teams to support timely billing and accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of medical or healthcare billing experience.
• Strong knowledge of procedure codes and payer rules.
• Experience with Medicaid managed care and payer reimbursements.
• Proficient computer skills for billing and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit claims daily using the claims management system.
• Correct claim edits and denials per payer requirements.
• Follow up on on-hold claims to ensure timely billing.
• Coordinate data with Medical Records and other departments.
• Track aging and follow-up within payer filing limits.
• Document billing activities on patient accounts.
