Prime Healthcare in Harlingen, TX is seeking a full-time Billing Clerk to post and reconcile daily payments, analyze insurance payments, and ensure accurate patient balances in hospital systems.

The role requires strong math and analytical skills, experience with accounts payable/receivable or cashier tasks, and solid communication with patients and payers. On-site 8-hour daytime shifts with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Multi-tasking and prioritization to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable or cashier tasks.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing concepts.

Responsabilités

• Post and reconcile daily payments, apply adjustments, and maintain patient balances.
• Analyze insurance payments and contracts for correct reimbursement.
• Identify underpayments or denials and coordinate with payers.
• Distribute billing, handle hospital mail, and correct mailing discrepancies.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and internal staff about account questions.
