Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Billing Operations Manager to oversee the 13520 Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Admin: SE PB Billing Operations. You will manage billing, processing and collections while coordinating staff and third-party partners.

The role includes month-end reconciliations to the General Ledger and preparation of refunds and quarterly state reports. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail and experience in patient accounting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Patient Accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with hiring, training and annual performance appraisals.
• Monitors performance and delegates tasks to staff.
• Coordinates with department, third parties, consultants, and patients.
• Prepares denials for refunds to third party payers and oversees refunds.
• Manages refund processing and month-end reconciliations to the General Ledger.
• Prepares refund and transfer clearing reconciliations and quarterly state reports.
