Northwestern Medicine seeks a Financial Assessor in Patient Accounting to uphold our patient-first values and regulatory standards. You will analyze, resolve, and document claim edits with accuracy, ensuring timely submissions and compliant communications with payers.

You will follow up on third-party receivables, contribute to reducing denials, and support the department's accounts receivable goals while delivering excellent service to patients and guarantors in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• One year related work experience or college degree.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices.
• Extensive experience with PC applications including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Learn quickly and meet continuous timelines.
• Exhibit behaviors consistent with excellent service.

Responsabilités

• Resolve claim edits and ensure timely, accurate filing.
• Meet productivity and quality targets as directed by leadership.
• Follow up with third‑party payers and overturn denials where possible.
• Prepare compliant correspondence to payers via various channels.
