Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of billing experience.
• Healthcare billing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compile billing for electronic or manual submission weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
• Verify eligibility and update dates of service to correct guarantor.
• Maintain aging percentages at or below targets.
• Contact payers to check claim status and resubmit as needed.
• Handle outstanding balances and unposted cash.
• Assist clients with payment arrangements when possible.
• Post electronic payments or mail-in checks promptly.
• File department paperwork and maintain patient records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
