Job summary

The US Oncology Network seeks a Patient Benefits Representative to join Texas Oncology in Houston. This full-time role supports the Revenue Cycle Department at 7400 Fannin Street, with typical hours 8:30a–5:00p, Monday to Friday.

The candidate educates patients on insurance, determines financial need, and assists with forms and payment plans. Level 1 or Sr will depend on experience; required are a high school diploma, 3+ years in pre-services/revenue cycle, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Education on insurance coverage and patient benefits; familiarity with CPT/HCPCS coding is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) required.
• Ability to educate patients and verify demographics, insurance, and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Pre-authorization or referral information must be obtained from Clinical Reviewer prior to treatment.
• Assist patients with cost estimates, forms, and payment arrangements; ensure accuracy of co-pays and coverage in the system.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and compliance standards.
