Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a compassionate Care Technician for Float Staffing. The role involves bedside patient monitoring under RN supervision, remaining at the bedside, and assisting in calming agitated patients while ensuring a safe environment and accurate observations.

Minimum qualifications include a preferred BLS certification and crisis prevention training; a high school diploma or equivalent (or related experience) is acceptable.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Crisis Prevention certification preferred.
• Education/experience: High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate.
• Record all observations.
