Job summary

Olympic Sports & Spine is seeking a Patient Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to manage outstanding patient A/R, mail statements, and handle collection letters. The role requires setting up payment plans, posting payments, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant processes.

Ideal candidates have medical billing experience, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with billing software. This on-site role supports efficient hospital-clinics operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices.
• Knowledge of computer programs.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with multiple billing software systems.
• Knowledge of business office procedures.
• Knowledge of basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work all outstanding patient A/R.
• Send patient statements and collection letters.
• Make follow-up calls to patients.
• Set up payment arrangements.
• Post patient payments to the practice management system.
• Balance batches and run transaction reports.
• Record batch totals on payment receipt spreadsheet.
• Post high volume transactions accurately.
• Determine patient responsibility and identify over-payments.
