Job summary

Wilshirerehab is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our skilled nursing facility team. The candidate will manage referrals, coordinate with the business office on financial verifications, and guide families through the admissions process.

Strong communication and organization are essential. Ideal applicants have 2–3 years of admissions experience in SNF/subacute/rehab settings, plus familiarity with managed care and HMO authorizations.

Qualifications

• Two to three years experience with the admissions process at a SNF, subacute, rehab, or health care facility.
• Excellent organizational skills with a detail orientation towards documentation and follow-up.
• Professional telephone skills with the ability to handle referral calls efficiently.
• Computer experience using a marketing information system.
• Knowledge of managed care industry preferred
• HMO initial auth requests

Responsibilities

• Obtain referral information from telephone and walk-in inquiries for admission committee.
• Coordinate with business office to verify financial information before admission.
• Secure family commitment to tour and conduct facility tours.
• Explain admission policies and ensure paperwork is complete at admission.
• Monitor referrals, admissions, and follow-up to solidify admission.
• Inform Marketing Director of referral issues.
• Develop relationships with referral sources.
