Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining inpatient rosters, preparing admission and discharge records, handling payments, and operating office equipment. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3–6 months on‑the‑job training; knowledge of ICD-10/CPT codes is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months on‑the‑job training required to attain proficiency.
• Must operate routine office machines and understand general hospital processes. ICD-10 and CPT codes knowledge is relevant for billing.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, in person or by phone, and provide information.
• Prepare admission, discharge, and payment records for patients.
• Maintain inpatient rosters by name, bed number, and religious preference; report admissions/discharges daily.
• Pull patient charts, handle scheduling, and assist with transportation arrangements as needed.
• Operate office equipment and manage receipts and cashier duties.
