Qualifications

• 6 months medical office, hospital registration or medical insurance office experience required.
• 1 year experience at a medical office or other hospital facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and the public, providing information with HIPAA and confidentiality in mind.
• Processes pre-registered accounts and completes registration and admissions information.
• Obtains required signatures on medical, financial and compliance documents.
• Scans documents into the electronic medical and financial record.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and required coverage; handles prior authorizations as needed.
