Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and visitors in a professional manner.
• Distributes forms and consents to appropriate departments.
• Obtains and interprets insurance benefits and prior authorization.
• Applies benefit information to determine patient copays and responsibility.
• Answers the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.
• Processes daily bank deposits, maintains cash drawer, and records receipts.
• Understands use and disclosure of PHI.
• Other duties as assigned.
