Job summary

Hawaii Pacific Health's Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children seeks a Patient Registrar to deliver warm, accurate patient registration and admissions support. You will collect personal and financial information, assist with bed assignments and preliminary authorization/verification, and ensure a smooth guest experience in a busy hospital environment.

Evening shift, 8 hours, full-time, with ILWU bargaining unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in health care or insurance billing/reimbursement preferred.
• One year of high-volume customer contact experience is a plus.
• Medical Terminology course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by obtaining personal and financial information through interviews, calls, or forms.
• Coordinate bed assignments and preliminary authorization/verification for admissions.
• Provide warm, friendly customer care to ensure a smooth guest experience.
