Job summary

Fairfax Behavioral Health, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Financial Counselor to verify benefits and eligibility for admissions and to finalize the admission/registration process. You will provide patient financial counseling and collect out-of-pocket amounts during admission, coordinating with Intake and Utilization Review for timely authorizations.

Responsibilities include identifying payment risks, ensuring accuracy of charge tickets, and training other staff on admissions

Qualifications

• Two years of admissions and/or collections experience.
• Working knowledge of managed care and business software programs.
• Ability to interpret benefits, calculate copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
