Job summary

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Patient Administrator to join the Elective Admissions Team. You will provide administrative support focused on patients, liaising with clinicians and staff, and ensuring smooth patient pathways across reception, PAS updates, and data management.

In this role you will handle enquiries with empathy, coordinate interpreter and transport services when needed, and supervise junior staff to maintain high standards of service delivery.

Qualifications

• Provide a customer focused service dealing with all patients or visitors in an efficient, polite and courteous manner.
• Support delivery of high-quality healthcare service ensuring patients receive a high standard of service delivery.
• Handle queries from patients/relatives confidentially and sensitively; refer clinical-related queries to appropriate staff.
• Oversee the work of junior staff and ensure objectives are met on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

• Take and relay telephone enquiries and messages, prioritising information dissemination.
• Update patient details on PAS and check demographic details on arrival or departure.
• Arrange interpreter and transport services where indicated.
• Adhere to trust-wide SOPs and policies for administrative processes.
