Job summary

The role supports therapeutic goals by encouraging participation and fostering inclusive programs tailored to diverse populations. The position typically runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm, with duties including calendar development, participation tracking, and ensuring program safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings is desirable.
• Experience coordinating activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans and facilitates individual and group activities that promote cognitive stimulation, physical movement, socialization, and emotional well-being.
• Adapts programs to meet a variety of functional levels, interests, and cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members to incorporate patient needs, preferences, and care plans into activity offerings.
• Assists in developing calendars, tracking participation, and maintaining supplies and equipment for activities.
• Observes and reports patient responses and engagement levels, adjusting activities for inclusivity and benefit.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding programs and patient progress.
• Documents activity participation and observations in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
